Play, Make, Create,

This week for P, M, C, we read the book We are all equal. It means that whatever the shape the size whatever age we are equal.

I worked with Katelyn I think that we really good together we got our work done and I think that we both liked working together it was fun but the hardest thing was the slide to stand up but in the end, it worked out.

I made a playground for a penguin the whole thing was based on water and ice it was so so much fun. To make it has a slide that went into an ice-cold pool with ice hopscotch and a flying fox and tunnels and bits chopped paper and snow.

Whetu Challenge

I worked with Cullen and Lachie and the challenge this week was to make the tallest tower using paper and sellotape and guess what we won 2.98m it was taller than me, which is a new record in my books.

The base is a triangle pyramid and then it just went up as a big line, but the way we did it was big to small and they all were very very strong, we started by wrapping up the edges of the paper, and as we go higher up the tower the pieces of paper get small but still are strong.

When it really started to get tall I saw that there was another team that was on our tail and then I said to my team we need to start standing on a chair and at tables but in the end, we won and said GG* to the other team.

* good game

Play, Make, Create

This week for Play, Make, Create I did a piece of art with a green collage border, with a rainbow on the inside made out of pastell I don't think its best work but it was fun.

Kite Day

last Friday we made kites my kite was made of bamboo and an NZ flag. First, we get the bamboo and the flag, measure it out, cut it, and stick it down with sellotape. For me, the hardest thing was to get it to fly but in the end, it snapped in half and broke the thing that I would change is the design it was too heavy and did not get of the ground.

Play, Make, Create,

For Play, Make and Create Tayla and I made a home as Create, for one person the hardest thing to do is getting the logs to stand up it took 3 tries and keep them up, and It was even harder keeping the logs.

My favourite part was the chair if l lived in the home I would spend most of the time in the house, we were going to make a garden but we didn't have enough time all but overall I worked goog with Tk.

Term 2, Week 1 2021

 Term 2, Week 1 2021

During Term 1 we have been practising our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online programme called NumBots.  At the start, it was super easy but progressively got more challenging.

I am now on Tungesen level 8 of NumBots.

I enjoy NumBots because I learn some more maths every day, and it may just be a little bit funnier than TTRS.

I find it challenging every time I move up a level it gets harder, and the levels get longer as I go along, which makes it harder and funnier every time I go on.

This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online programme which helps us to learn our timetables. I think that TTRockstars is improving my timetables by a lot right now I am focusing on the ones that I don’t know.

Play, Make, Create, Term 2 Week 1

Today for Play, Make and Create Stella and we did a kayak and a boat and it looked so cool if it was big and able to float it would be the best selling thing on the market for years to come the hardest thing is getting the mast up getting it finished and not breaking it overall it was fun and I would do it again

Whetu Fun Day

 Whetu Fun Day

Last Thursday we had a Whetu Fun Day as our camp was postponed.  Our teachers planned a fun day for us instead!  We participated in a Whetu Amazing Race, a range of different fun rotations, a BBQ lunch and play on the council playground then we finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt and an ice block.

My favourite part of the Amazing Race was when we had to crack the code at the end to finish. The code name is what happened when the egg laughed he cracked up that was my favourite part of the Amazing Race and the netball where we decided to do the over and under and mum said TK, shirl girl, Haven, Marley, Lola and l were the fastest kids to do it.

The rotation I enjoyed the most was the stem challenge where my group Cullen, Franklin, TK and I had to design a dress the model was going to be TK but it ended up being Cullen he looked so weird in a dress but it was fun.

During the Easter Egg Hunt, I found my purple Stick in a tree and got a blue Easter egg.
